ello, my name is Aleks Berland and I am an animation loving computer nerd with a fine art background. While working in graphic and web design, I found my way into more interactive arts such as video games and immersive digital content. Meanwhile I was moonlighting in my studio, and I have exhibited art works and  participated in group shows in galleries across the GTA, including a 2 day showing of a painting at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Working on group projects made me realize how much I loved Animation Arts, and that really that my dream was to become a Digital Artist creating worlds and working on  animations, films, tv-series,  and interactive medias.   My career trajectory as I envision it is working as a production artist wherever I can learn more about the craft, but one day….here it comes….   I would like to direct!  Until that fortunate day comes, ultimately, I do what I do because of an indivisible love and curiosity for the visual arts and for storytelling.  The most compelling and influential art form for me has always been ANIMATION and all it’s wonderful derivatives.

In my free time (the little that there is!! as a 3D animation artist!) I enjoy drawing, making music, seeing live shows, jogging, and travelling when I can. I am a very friendly kind of guy with a focus on communication and expression. I usually have many ideas, I love brainstorming.  Generally, I enjoy immersing myself in the research, the art, the sounds, and the philosophies of any project I get the opportunity to work on.
